Claude Monet is well known for his use of depth in many of his paintings. The use of a vanishing horizon makes the painting seem to go on forever, as if almost three dimensional.
Crying Gypsy Boy (Bruno Amidio)
Looking at this painting of a gypsy boy crying automatically sparks an emotional reaction, making it an emotionally active piece of art.
Week 10 Assignments...
Charcoal angel 1
I think charcoal is my favorite medium. I don't really like the wings, and I could work on a few other aspects, but not bad for my first attempt.
Sketchbook
I just took a picture of my sketchbook as it sat on my desk. I actually have a few pages with stuff taped in it, There is really no rhyme or reasoning to putting things in there. Just things that catch my eye.
Mad Self Portrait
Charcoal and graphite pencil. Proportions are tricky. Especially when your face is all scrunched up!
